"Do what you love and you'll never “work” a day in your life."

Someone once said this to me and it really stuck.  I'm a 5th generation music professional and proud to say that I love what I do.  I look forward to getting up each day and going to work.  Not many people can make that claim.

I am Chief Creative Officer of Symphonic Distribution and GM of our Nashville operation. Symphonic is a true 21st century music company. In this role, I am overseeing our music publishing, user-generated content, and sync operations as well as looking for fantastic independent artists and labels that need a team in their corner. We can be that team- soup to nuts.

Prior to my current role it was my pleasure to head up Creative Sync & Licensing for ole music publishing. In that capacity I oversaw a vast catalog of music copyrights and intellectual property and managed the outside usage and licensing of those assets.

In addition to my work-life, I am an Adjunct Professor at Belmont University and a frequent speaker and lecturer at other various universities covering topics ranging from general music business overview, music copyright, music technology, and licensing.  Being the son and grandson of great educators, I find myself drawn back towards education at every turn.

When not waxing poetic on the business of music, my time is spent chasing twin teenage girls around the hills of Tennessee.  So far I've managed a great run working in and with music, but these girls are by far my greatest achievment.
